Embonas of Rhodes

Emponas is located 52 km southwest of Rhodes (town) on the slopes of Attaviros, the highest mountain of the island (1,250 meters). The inhabitants are mainly engaged in animal husbandry and the cultivation of vineyards, so there are several modern and traditional wineries. The area is famous for its wines and is famous for the local varieties ``Athiri'' and ``Amorgiano''. In Empona, the wine festival takes place and is celebrated in August.

Our wines

We aim to improve the quality of our wines with constant investment and experimentation to the very best vinification procedures.

Our winery

Our winery in Embonas, Rhodes, is only three years old. But the family's involvement with the vineyards began three generations ago and continues to this day where we make our own wines. Our aim is to produce high quality wines in order to highlight the dynamics of the Rhodian vineyard and, by extension, the Rhodian wine, which in recent years seems to be changing its level.

    What our guests said

We are proud of the services we offer and we stay true to our products. Read some recommendations from our guests.
    • A family business selling traditional products of Rhodes. There is also a small museum attached where you can see traditional costumes and the like. Products can be tasted. Unfortunately we came by on a bus trip and didn't have too much time to look around. But in principle a visit is recommended.
